Tithing law

From The Secret Daily Teachings

The ancient Babylonians practiced a vital law that was the cause of their immense prosperity. They used the tithing law, which involves giving
one-tenth of all money or riches that you receive. The tithing law says that you must give to receive, and the Babylonians knew that the practice of this law opens up the flow of abundance. If you are thinking, “I will give when I have enough money,” then the tithing law says you will never have enough money, because you have to give first. Many of the wealthiest people on the planet tithed their way to wealth, and they have never stopped tithing!

I love this concept. Giving away money for which you worked really hard may actually be hard at first, especially if you have loans, debts or other obligations. But once you change your thinking to “I’m giving away because I have plenty, because I’m abundant”, magically all circumstances around you change so you can give and receive more and more money.

Your net worth

“Your net worth to the world is usually determined by what remains after your bad habits are subtracted from your good ones.” ~ Benjamin Franklin

Take lessons

“And there was, in those Ipswich years, for me at least, a raw educational component; though I used to score well in academic tests, I seemed to know very little of how the world worked and was truly grateful for instruction, whether it was how to stroke a backhand, mix a martini, use a wallpaper steamer, or do the Twist. My wife, too, seemed willing to learn. Old as we must have looked to our children, we were still taking lessons, in how to be grown-up.”
John Updike, Self-Consciousness

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” ~ John Quincy Adams

Create your tomorrow

To create your tomorrow, go over your day when you are in bed tonight just before you fall asleep, and feel #gratitude for the good moments. If there was something you wanted to happen differently, replay it in your mind the way you wanted it to go. As you fall asleep, say, “I will sleep deeply and wake up full of energy. Tomorrow is going to be the most beautiful day of my life.” Rhonda Byrne from #TheSecret Daily Teachings

Success

“I have failed many times, and that’s why I am a success.” ~ Michael Jordan

“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr
